Episode 50

Aussie Rugby Royal Rumble - Christmas Edition

Welcome to Season 2 - Episode 50 of the Pick & Drive Rugby Podcast!

Welcome to the Royal Rumble, where we bring together the best minds in Australian Rugby Podcasting to chat through the highs and lows of the game they play in heaven.

Tonight, for our Christmas edition of the Rumble, we’ll be doing things a bit differently. The show is going to be broken up into 10 minute chunks, all touching on a slightly different topic.

Different hosts and pundits will give their hot takes, while YOU #getinvolved with your questions, comments, and banter in each session.

Before we dive into things, who should you expect to see? Well, obviously, you’ll have Mitch my co-host from Pick and Drive Rugby, Rev from Pick & Drive and Rugby Fixation, Matt from Gold Digger Rugby, and Nelson the more attractive Dale, from Draft Rugby Podcast.

Mitch is rugby obsessed! If he's not watching the game they play in heaven, he's reffing it or analysing it for a future episode!

Mitch is a product of Sydney's north shore, having played rugby for a number of prominent junior and senior clubs over the years. His highlight to this day was packing down against both Michael and Allan Alaalatoa in colts for the mighty Gordon Highlanders (Up the Stags!).

Outside of rugby Mitch is a Disability Support Manager and enjoys readings books, watching movies and playing video games.

I'm a regular guy who wanted an Australian rugby podcast that was both insightful AND family friendly. It turns out this is harder to find than you'd think. I called my mate Mitch, asked him if he wanted to chat rugby on a weekly basis. He said YES!

That's how Pick and Drive Rugby was born.

About me: I'm a 30-something guy married with two rowdy boys. I teach History and spend my time reliving the glory days of the Waratahs 2014 Super Rugby triumph.
